Biography:

Rachel M. E. Wolfe is a theater academic, director, and dramaturg currently employed as Assistant Professor of Theatre at Utica College. She received her Ph.D. in Theater Studies with an emphasis in Feminist Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara in March 2016. She holds an M.A. in Theater Studies from the same institution and a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound. She is a co-founder of the Seattle-based theater company Handwritten Productions, and has worked as a new play development dramaturg with Umbrella Project in their radical dramaturgy writer's group. Her production dramaturgy credits include work with Book-It Repertory and the Riki Kane Larimer company. Primarily a theatre historian, she divides her time between teaching, academic writing, and practical theater work.
