Tenure-Track Assistant Professor - UNC Wilmington

Deadline November 25th The Department of Theatre at the UNC-Wilmington seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Theatre Studies within an undergraduate BA Program. Start date is August 2020. Primary responsibilities include teaching academic core curriculum courses as well as diverse areas within the candidate’s specialization: Non-Western theatre, criticism, dramaturgy, devised theatre, Gender/Performance Studies, Postdramatic theatre. Must have experience or familiarity with current online teaching formats, curricula, digital archives, and research methodologies. As publication and teaching writing intensive courses are expected, applicants must hold a Ph.D. or DFA in Theatre or Performance Studies in hand at the time of application. UNCW strongly encourages applications from women and members of underrepresented minority groups. Preferred qualifications include an articulated publishing agenda, experience teaching at the university level, and an interest in developing and implementing curricula for the Customized/Hybrid option (including online courses). Must demonstrate potential for significant scholarly productivity as well as participation and leadership in regional or national organizations related to their expertise. Current salary range is mid $50’s and includes a strong benefit package.
