Disney Parks Live Entertainment at Walt Disney Imagineering is a team of entertainment professionals, comprised of Creative Directors, Producers, Designers, and more, that imagines, develops, creates, designs, the live entertainment offerings in our Disney parks and resorts worldwide and on board our Disney cruise ships. Responsibilities:

Make an impact by…

  • Supporting Executive Creative Directors and Producers through various projects both in development and production phases
  • Assisting Executive Creative Directors and Producers with preparing Peer Reviews, Creative Updates and Executive Presentations
  • Developing treatments and/or creating presentations to further design, pitch concepts, and flesh out ideas relevant to Executive Creative Director assignments
  • Organizing brainstorms and fulfilling creative assignments which may include research, creative summaries, treatments, presentation boards and digital presentations
  • Coordinating and attending meetings with Entertainment Creative and Production teams
  • Providing research supporting the development of new creative projects and presenting findings
  • Contributing in the development of design presentations and preparing conference rooms for presentations
  • Gain a deep understanding of the role of Live Entertainment in Parks and Resorts by visiting and touring the park, participating in customized learning sessions, and becoming an integral member of the team

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior working towards a BA/BFA in Directing, Dramaturgy, Acting, Scenic Design, Graphic Design, Writing, or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Keynote, PowerPoint, Adobe programs and Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity and some proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule including days, nights and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earning or completing a MFA/MA degree in Directing, Dramaturgy, Acting, Scenic Design, Graphic Design, Writing, or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Current valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Operating a company vehicle may be part of this role

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)


Program Dates:The approximate dates of this internship are January 7th 2019 through June 7th 2019. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing:This internship is in Glendale, CA. Participants must provide their own housing.
