If you are in Minneapolis Aug. 11-14, 2011 come check out the Network of Ensemble Theatres (NET) Summit!

It should be a great weekend for dramaturgy. LMDA's partnership with NET is an exciting one. NET is making dramaturgy a big focus of the weekend, crafting specific action items to drive NET companies to use dramaturgy in their work.

There will be a lot of great dramaturgy discussion and work over the weekend. More information about the Summit can be found HERE.

LMDA has been a major partner in the NET's Micro-Fest USA, which was in Atlanta in October, LA in December, and Philadelphia in January, and now culminates in Minneapolis. Many LMDA dramaturgs have been involved in dramaturging ensemble-driven pieces in development, facilitating and processing feedback to artists, and crafting calls to action for the ensemble theatre field. All of this work will be culminating in calls to action for the ensemble-driven field as a whole.

As part of the NET planning committee for the summit, LMDA member Scott Horstein is proposing an LMDA lunch at the event on Saturday, August 13, from 12-1:30.

Lunches are in the dining hall in the summit dorm at University of Minnesota, and there will be a sign in the dining hall, so it will be easy to find us. If you are planning on joining, please let contact Scott
