Viktorija Kovac founded Cosmic Fishing Theatre, a project-based collective, through which she works with culturally diverse, next generation, and regional artists, in efforts to amplify womxn’s artistic voices in experimental theatre and performance. Viktorija's directing practice involves innovative adaptations of plays with established production histories, and creating original performances/events. Viktorija views adaptation/reinterpretation as crucial to the director-creator's craft, specifically for womxn and immigrants. She often incorporates puppetry and object theatre in her work, and is inspired by image-led theatre approaches in directing and creating, as well as physical theatre methods.
