TANYA PALMER (Dramaturg) is a dramaturg, creative producer, educator, and playwright who currently serves as the Assistant Dean and Executive Artistic Director at Northwestern University’s School of Communication, where she oversees programming at the Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Centers for the Performing and Media Arts. Prior to joining Northwestern, she was on faculty at Indiana University, where she helped develop More Perfect Places, an original work about New Harmony, Indiana. She also served as the Director of New Play Development at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago for 14 seasons and at Actors Theatre of Louisville for 5 seasons. Originally from Calgary, Canada she lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband Jim and their two teenagers, Harper & Theo.
