Lauren Sheely is a Chicago-based mover and dramaturg. Her research interests center on representations and manifestations of illness in dance. Her solo work exploring chronic illness was used as a training tool for students in the Medical Program at Drake University. She has also served as an Assistant Director, Movement Director, and Dramaturg with various companies in Chicago. Lauren received her M.A. from The University of Chicago. Her thesis explored choreographic practices in physically-integrated dance ensembles.
