Carter Van Erp is a dramaturg, literary manager, and new work development practitioner. A graduate of the University of Michigan, his work focuses on supporting writers and creative teams through research, script development, archival curation, and collaborative process facilitation. He has served as a dramaturg and assistant director on the development of new musicals and plays, collaborating with professional writers, directors, and creative teams through the University of Michigan's new work development initiatives. His interests include dramaturgy as a tool for social engagement, the role of archives in theatrical creation, and fostering artist-centered development processes that connect storytelling, scholarship, and practice.
