Kia ora - I am of New Zealand Māori and Pākehā/European/other descent, and a citizen of Canada since 2017. I have written over thirty plays, and worked as a dramaturg/director to realize other writers' work for organisations like Playmarket in New Zealand and PTC in Canada. I teach screenwriting in the IDF Indigenous Digital Filmmaking Screenwriting, Documentary, Playwriting and Communications at Capilano University, Vancouver, Canada. Some of my dramaturgical work has been with new First Nations' plays at Native Earth's Weesageechak Festivals, emerging playwrights through The Cultch's Ignite Festival, and I regularly lead the Block A workshops for scriptwriters at the PTC - Playwrights' Theatre Centre in Vancouver. I am passionate about Indigenous work but also enjoy working in all forms of theatre. I am story and script consultant for TV and Film.
