Born and raised in Sweden, educated in Sweden and the US. Professor Emerita; School of Theatre, Television and Film; San Diego State University. Served as Graduate Adviser, created courses in Play Analysis and Dramaturgy. Research interests: translation theory, dramaturgy, theatre theory, theatre’s role in assimilation and ethnicization, Actor, singer, lecturer and recording artist in area of Scandinavian-American theatre and music heritage.

Translation and dramaturgy of plays in Swedish and Dano-Norwegian (Strindberg, Lagerlöf, Ibsen), translation of Swedish lyrics (songs, opera, oratorio) set to music; translation of Swedish plays for Unga Klara and the puppet theatre Tittut. Developed use of platform translation of Ibsen and Strindberg for productions from academic theatre to Broadway.
