Happy spring from the Dramaturging the Phoenix team!
This is a time of warming weather and the shaking off of winter. As we become accustomed to the seasons of COVID, let’s look at our dramaturgical practice in holding the hopes for the seeds we plant and the shifting of the ground beneath all of us….
At the recent April 12th Dramaturging the Phoenix Forum, we asked members of our community to check in how they were feeling about dramaturgy. These were their responses:

Call: To amplify the collection of essays inaugurated at the beginning of the pandemic, LMDA seeks further dramaturgical responses – videos, creative works, and social media threads, other essays, among other formats – that boldly inspire, provoke, and explore theatre’s potential to transform through global crisis.

Deadline: June 30th, 2022. We expect to generate new prompts each quarter of 2022. Or reach out to us at phoenix@lmda.org and tell us if you need more time. We will be reflecting on the collective MentiMeter word cloud at this summer’s conference in Philadelphia!
