Katie Walker (she/her) is a freelance Dramaturg from Denver, Colorado and based in New York City. She currently serves as the NYC-Metro Regional VP for Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas. Favorite Dramaturgy credits include Niagara: A New Musical by Lauren Widner and Ryan McCurdy with additional material by James Rushin, Normal Ave's 2023, 2020, and 2019 NAP Series (Enduring Atlas by Jacqueline Bircher, Sarah Sits Shiva for Herself by Reid Pope, Monica: This Play is Not About Monica Lewinsky by Dianne Nora, All Eight by Lilly Camp).

Katie has evaluated submissions for the Colorado New Play Summit at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the literary department at the Workshop Theatre. She acted for several years as the Literary Manager for Pipedream Productions (Piping Hot New Works, White Rabbit Red Rabbit - Denver True West Award). Katie is also playwright, which deepens her understanding of the need for an objective and supportive perspective throughout the playwright's process.

Katie specializes in new play development, textual analysis, musical theatre, adaptation of theatrical classics, and research-driven work. She is passionate about helping writers of all mediums tell their stories as impactfully as possible.
