Matthew Schneider is a dramaturg, producer, and entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of experience in the arts and entertainment industry. Matthew specializes in the creative development and commercial production of new works for the live stage. Currently, he serves as a new works consultant to Theater Calgary and Artistic Director Stafford Arima (Alberta, Canada); as a curator and consultant to the Museum of Broadway (NYC); and as a production dramaturg on his projects with Creative Endeavor Office, the production company he co-founded with producer Carolyn D. Miller. His dramaturgical work includes the award-winning and Drama Desk-nominated (Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score) "Lizard Boy" and for “Allegiance”(Broadway). He is a principal and co-founder of Creative Endeavor Office, with Carolyn D. Miller and his professional affiliations include New York University, the Commercial Theatre Institute, the League of International Producers (UK), National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT), and Lincoln Center Theatre’s Director Lab. Matthew approaches his work with curiosity, rigor, and a collaborative and innovative spirit. He is passionate about developing and producing the work of diverse artists and using the power of art and entertainment to create positive impact on culture and the world.
