As a theatre educator, dramaturg, performer, and Doctor Who enthusiast Charisse has had the opportunity to work with theatre companies in Utah and the UK. In Salt Lake she performed with Hale Centre Theatre and Pinnacle Acting Company, and has received MA degrees from the Royal Central School of Drama in London and the University of Kent in Canterbury. Having worked with a number of area high schools as a drama teacher and production dramaturg, Charisse is now focusing on playwriting, production dramaturgy, and working towards a PhD. She has taught a range of theatre courses, including Playwriting and Theatre History, at Brigham Young University, and currently teaches at Utah Valley University.
