Freelance Dramaturg
Biography
Anne (she/her) is a NYC-based director and dramaturg drawn to work that embodies a fourth-wave feminist critique of patriarchy, capitalism and social injustice. She meets one-on-one with playwrights to consult regarding their works in development and has produced readings and workshops of plays at a variety of development stages. Anne works to uplift and develop the voices of women, TGNC and queer artists, reshaping the classical canon to include work by writers whose group memberships have historically been forcibly excluded from cultural and theatrical spaces. In her free time and on the walls of her apartment, Anne dabbles in Ecofeminist-inspired visual art and installations. Anne is the Founding Producer and Series Coordinator of Sarah Lawrence College’s Graduate New Play Development Series and currently works as part of the Front of House team at 59E59 Theaters. She was most recently the Associate Artistic Director and Company Dramaturg for Stay True, an LGBTQ+ Theatre company. Previously, she worked at Dobama Theatre as the Assistant Managing Director, Front of House Manager and Coordinator of the Playwrights’ GYM. Anne is originally from Cleveland by way of Lyon, France. BA: Baldwin Wallace College and Conservatory. MFA: Sarah Lawrence College. Cats: Felicity June and Sawyer Emile.
