Biography
Avi Klipfel (they/them) is a dramaturg specializing in new work development, dance-theater, and adaptation. Their work explores consensual audience participation, verbatim text, abstraction, and creative uses of structure and form. They are the Company Manager and Co-Founder of the 46 Minutes Collective, a facilitator for The Workshop Theater’s writers groups, and the Community Engagement Programs Manager at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. Recent work includes True Crime at The Tank’s LimeFest (production manager), The DECAGON Project at Brick Aux (dramaturg, production manager), New Dramatists Playtime (stage manager), and Twelfth Night in Riverside Park (dramaturg). Currently, they are in development for Symposium at Kaatsbaan (dramaturg), Apatheia (dramaturg), True Crime (dramaturg), and The Dracula Files (dramaturg).
