Biography
Diana Montalvo is an artist and historian. She is often scared to define herself.
As a historian, she's passionate about using truth to inspire fiction. It can often feel like lives separate from ours, whether far away or in the past, are too different — and immersing myself in books and archives has taught her otherwise.
As an artist, and someone who can't get enough of art, she's one for the weird. She's interested in the surreal, absurd, or magically real and how it reflects our world.
She completed her degree in Media and Cultural Studies from New York University, where she learned media is broad and can take you many different places: researching the history of costume and textiles in museums, commissioning and editing articles for a publication about television, and analyzing scripts for competitions. She can even keep up with acting alongside it.
She loves research. And, of course, plays. She'd love to help you with yours.
