Meads has also developed plays with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, New York Theatre Workshop, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Denver Center for the Arts, the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Festival, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Portland Center Stage, South Coast Rep, Vineyard Theatre, and Campo Santo, among others. Joy received the 2019 LPTW Lucille Lortel Visionary Award. She is a co-founder of The Kilroys (www.thekilroys.org) and a proud native of Oakland California, city of artists and activists.
