Biography
D.J. Hopkins (MFA, PhD) is a Professor at San Diego State University. His book Sleep No More and the Discourses of Shakespeare Performance (2024) is available online and in print from Cambridge UP. He is co-editor of the forthcoming collection In Memoriam: The Routledge Companion to Performance, Public Mourning, and Remembrance (2026). As dramaturg, Hopkins has worked with numerous writers, directors, choreographers, and performers including Naomi Iizuka, Charles Mee, Les Waters, and Robert Woodruff, among others. He is the recipient of the 2011 Elliott Hayes Award.
