Biography
Beth Osborne is Professor of Theatre Studies at Florida State University. Her work has appeared in *Theatre Symposium*, *Theatre History Studies*, and *The Journal of American Drama and Theatre*, as well as in the forthcoming *Performing Democracy* collection (edited by Cheryl Black and Jonathan Shandell). Her book, *Staging the People: Community and Identity in the Federal Theatre Project*, was published in 2011, and she is co-editor of the forthcoming *Conspicuous Work: Theatre, Performance, and History in Process* with Chris Woodworth. Beth is the Book Review Editor for the *Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism*, an executive board member for the American Theatre and Drama Society, and the Conference Planner for the Mid-America Theatre Conference. She has dramaturged at Florida State University, University of Maryland, and Brandeis University, and at Northlight Theatre and New Repertory Theatre.
