Cause for Concern
This form is meant to serve as a pathway to conversation. This form is available to members and non-members of LMDA.
If you have a concern about harassment, oppression, or other breach of LMDA’s Anti-Harassment Policy within an LMDA space (facilitated or fiscally sponsored by LMDA, which may include Zoom, Slack LMDA listserv, LMDA social media, regional events, annual conference, etc.), please fill out this form, which can be sent with or without identifying information.
Received Cause for Concern forms will be acknowledged within 1-2 business days by a member of LMDA’s Anti-Harassment Committee (VP Advocacy Karen Jean Martinson; co-VPs of Anti-Oppression Emma Bilderback, Martine Kei Green-Rogers, Russ Dembin; and Board Co-Chairs Anne G. Morgan and Jenna Rodgers).
The information you provide will not be shared beyond this Committee without your permission. If you are not comfortable with your message being received by all members of the committee, you are welcome to email an individual on the committee requesting a more limited review.
What we can offer, first and foremost, is thoughtful conversation about the concern, additional support/resources, and a discussion about possible future action.
- Reference to LMDA Resources:
This form is for any participant in an LMDA activity (member or non-member) who has a concern and would like to enter into a conversation about something they witnessed or experienced in the LMDA community. Concerns might include, but are not limited to, events such as online bullying; inappropriate behavior; harassment; harmful, hurtful, demoralizing, dehumanizing language; discomfort with a LMDA member in LMDA spaces;
If you wish to make a formal complaint or charge that initiates a recorded investigation of an incident, please visit the LMDA Anti-Harassment Policy.
While we have resources that you might find valuable as you navigate your dramaturgical practices, LMDA is not able to intervene regarding concerns that originate in non-LMDA spaces.
This form is not for emergencies. LMDA is a volunteer organization and our volunteers will do their best to respond as they are able. As noted above, our typical response time is 1 to 2 business days.
