Biography
Maeve Riley is a dramaturg, director, and playwright based in NYC. She has an MA in Drama and Performance Studies from the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. In May 2020, Maeve graduated from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina with a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies and a BA in English Literature. She currently works as an Adjunct Lecturer in English and Drama at Wagner College and in the CUNY system. In June 2020, she cofounded a theatre podcast, The Systemic Stage, where she and her cohost interview experts in the theatre industry who are working to fight the systemic issues within our industry. Her credits include Molly Sweeney (2020), The Wolves (2020), Moment (2018), and the Vagina Monologues (2017; 2018), and her international credits include Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (2019), Portia Coughlan (2019), and The Trolley Problem (2019) with Trinity College, Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Along with professional dramaturgy and directing experiences, Maeve aspires to pursue a PhD in Drama and Performance Studies.
