Ashley Chodat (she/her) is a playwright, dramaturg, teaching artist and deviser. In these roles, she has worked for Bard on the Beach, Arts Club, The Cultch, Arts Umbrella, Carousel Theatre for Young People (Vancouver) Theatre SKAM, Kaleidoscope (Victoria) Young People’s Theatre (Toronto.) She is also an alumni of Playwright Theatre Centre’s Block A cohort and Rumble Theatre’s D-Lab. She is particularly drawn to stories that centre female joy, nostalgia and intergenerational relationships. Recently, her TYA play June Bug won the inaugural YPT Family Forward Award at Vancouver Fringe Festival.
