Biography
Penzi Hill (she/her) is a New York based theatre artist/producer/dramaturg. She discovered a love of performance at a young age, through the pursuit of classical violin. This love brought her to the theater, and she's never left. After participating in SheNYC Art's CreateHER program (Producer Track) when she was 17, Penzi realized that the art of making art is truly in putting it together. Penzi has worked at Williamstown Theatre Festival where she was a part of the inaugural class of Black Theatre United's Early BIPOC Theatre-Makers, as the Development Theatre-Maker. Currently Penzi is the Scripted Literary Theatrical Assistant at Agency for the Performing Arts. Previously, Penzi has worked as Associate Producer of WP Pipeline Festival and SheNYC Arts Festival New York (2022), an intern for the Movement Theatre Company in Harlem and the Producing Intern at Tom Kirdahy Productions. Penzi is currently studying to earn her BFA in Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (2023).
