Rachel Eakes (she/they) is a dramaturg originally from Charlotte, NC. She is an avid concert-goer as well as a lifelong fangirl and theatremaker. In their time doing academic theatre, they served as the production dramaturg for Appalachian State's productions of The Seagull and Peter and The Star-Catcher, as well as provided dramaturgical support for student-run club productions of Cabaret and God of Carnage. During the pandemic, she was one of the literary managers for a virtual play festival at Appalachian State. During their time at Goldsmiths, they led workshops and acted as the dramaturg for a new musical as well as new plays written by their cohort. She is familiar with both American and European styles of Dramaturgy due to her time in London and loves working in both styles.
