Kaila Cohen is a dramaturg, director, educator, and theatre artist from Sarasota, FL who is currently in her final year as a theatre arts major (dramaturgy emphasis) at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. She has served as an education intern (with literary support) at Florida Studio Theatre, both treasurer and vice president of her chapter of Alpha Psi Omega (national theatre honor society) and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa (national honor society) and her college’s Theatre & Dance Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility Council. Her research interests include feminist theatre, theatre and accessibility, new play development, script analysis and Shakespeare. Equipped with skills in dramaturgy, directing, communications, theatre education and several design areas, Kaila is very excited to be a member of LMDA and work with other theatre artists.
