Biography
Amy Shoshana Blumberg is a dramaturg, theater director, choreographer, and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. She co-founded and co-leads the after-image for whom she has co-written, directed, and co-produced four evening-length performance works and one interactive multimedia installation. Dramaturgy collaborations include: SAXYN Dance Works' SEOLH (Nov 2024), Ani Javian and Benjamin Roach's WHEN THE SKY SEPARATED FROM THE EARTH, and GREYZONE's ASSEMBLY. Other recent work includes: associate director for WHAT DOES PURPLE SOUND LIKE at Penn State University and PURPLE: A RITUAL IN NINE SPELLS (Lincoln Center premiere) both by Sydnie L. Mosley Dances. Amy is a storytelling instructor and story director for The Moth. MFA in Theater Directing (Temple University); BA in Africana Studies and Dance (Barnard College).
