Biography:

A four-time Emmy winner, Patrick is the newly appointed General Manager of The Shakespeare Theatre Association (STA). STA was established to provide a forum for the artistic, managerial, educational leadership for theatres primarily involved with the production of the works of William Shakespeare; to discuss issues and methods of work, resources, and information; and to act as an advocate for Shakespearean productions and training.

An immediate past Board Member of STA, he has chaired breakout sessions in marketing, organizational planning, and new play development at STA conferences in Los Barriles, Mexico, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, The Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, and at the Globe in London.

Patrick also currently serves The National New Play Network (NNPN) as Literary Chair on Executive Committee of The Board of Directors and is active on a national and international level in the development of new plays and was a director in 2011 for the Kennedy Center's MFA Playwrights Reading Lab of new works.

Working with the Orlando ShakespeareTheater in Partnership with the University of Central Florida since 2002, Patrick was most recently the Associate Artistic Director there and he last directed the NNPN Rolling World Premiere of The Exit Interview by William Missouri Downs. Other credits at OST include Red by John Logan, Charm by Kathleen Cahill, The Comedy of Errors, Into the Woods, Twelfth Night, A Little Night Music, Private Lives, Kiss Me Kate and many other main-stage productions, and he produced a staged workshop of an adaptation of The Tempest, starring Oscar winning actress Olympia Dukakis. Patrick was also an adjunct professor at Rollins College in Orlando and taught advanced directing and audition techniques.

He has directed scores of readings and workshops of new plays including Strongman's Ghost by Jeffrey Hatcher, heavier than… by Steve Yockey, Do Not Go Gentle by Patricia Cornelius (international collaboration with PlayWriting Australia), Madonna and Child by John Pielmeier, Blue Sky Boys by Deborah Brevoort, and Lewis and Clark Reach the Euphrates by Robert Schenkkan. Other directing credits include Mad Cow Theatre, Actors Theatre of Naples, New Theatre in Miami and Florida Studio Theater’s New Works Festival.

In San Francisco, Patrick worked as a producer and motion-capture specialist for San Francisco based television network ZDTV & TechTV. He has also worked as an actor at theatres across the country, including TheatreWorks, Marin Theatre Company, San Jose Stage, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, Sacramento Theatre Company, Marin and Wisconsin Shakespeare Festivals, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Phoenix Theatre, Alliance Theatre, Riverside Shakespeare and the Independent Theatre in New York.
